Little Witch

A young witch caught mid-spell on a quiet street, sparks still hanging in the air.

Process notes

This piece started as a warm-up sketch that refused to stay small. The witch's pose — one foot forward, book in hand, finger still raised — came from watching how kids move when they're completely absorbed in pretend play.

The palette is deliberately restrained: cool greys for her dress and hat, warm yellow only where the magic lands. The sparkle shapes are left unoutlined so they feel like they're still arriving.
